Delivery Lead Times

Planning ahead gives your release the best chance of smooth delivery, accurate metadata, pre-release setup and editorial consideration.

Minimum lead time

Our minimum lead time is 3 weeks between release submission and release date.

Releases submitted with less than 3 weeks lead time may be rescheduled to ensure proper delivery and campaign setup.

Why lead time matters

  • Allows DSP ingestion and processing
  • Provides time for metadata and asset error checking
  • Enables Spotify editorial pitching where eligible
  • Allows time for pre-save, pre-order and campaign planning

Recommended timeline

  • 3–4 weeks before release: submit release
  • 2–3 weeks before release: pre-order or pre-release setup where applicable
  • 1–2 weeks before release: begin marketing campaign
  • 7+ days before release: submit Spotify editorial pitch
  • Release week: push landing pages and social campaigns

Late submissions

Late submissions may prevent pre-orders, Countdown Pages, pre-save campaigns or editorial pitching from being set up in time. We recommend planning releases in advance to maximise results.
