Spotify for Artists Guide

Claiming and maintaining your Spotify for Artists profile helps you manage your presence, access analytics and submit eligible releases for editorial playlist consideration.

Why Spotify for Artists matters

Spotify for Artists gives artists and teams access to profile tools, streaming analytics, audience insights and editorial pitching. We strongly recommend that all artists claim their profile before their first release goes live.

  • Submit eligible tracks for editorial playlist consideration
  • Access streaming and audience analytics
  • Update artist images, biography and profile links
  • Monitor audience growth and engagement

How to claim your profile

  1. Go to Spotify for Artists.
  2. Log in using your Spotify account.
  3. Click “Get Access”.
  4. Search for your artist name and select the correct profile.
  5. Submit your request and complete any verification steps.

Spotify may request verification using social media, website links or distributor confirmation. We can assist where required.

Editorial pitching

To pitch to Spotify editorial playlists, your release must be delivered and available in Spotify for Artists before release day. Spotify requires a minimum of 7 days before release, but we recommend submitting releases at least 3 weeks in advance to allow time for ingestion, checks and pitching.

Best practice

  • Claim your profile before your first release goes live
  • Keep your profile images, bio and links up to date
  • Pitch every eligible release with a clear and accurate description
  • Use analytics to understand which tracks, cities and playlists are performing
